It is with a heavy heart and true sadness that I acknowledge the passing of Alonzo Cameron, Director of the Mullins Achievement Center.
Alonzo was a beloved and dedicated member of our Panther Family whose contributions to the Brookhaven School District extended far beyond the responsibilities of his position. He was an alumnus, teacher, coach, and administrator who devoted his life to serving our students, supporting our schools, and making a difference in the lives of others.
Throughout his years of service, Alonzo demonstrated a passion for helping young people, and a willingness to serve wherever he was needed. His commitment reflected his dedication to ensuring that every student had an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
We are grateful for the time we were given to share with him. Although his absence will leave a void in our Panther Family, the impact of his life and work will not be forgotten.
During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, co-workers, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him. We ask that our Panther Family come together to support one another and, most importantly, keep the Cameron family lifted in prayer.
