A Message from the Superintendent

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the faculty and staff of Brookhaven School District for the dedication you show to our students daily. A teacher is one of the most influential people in the life of a child, and I feel confident that you do not take this position lightly. I trust that you will continue to brighten the lives of the children around you as you prepare them for the future.

Online Registration

Mamie Martin Elementary Online Registration for the 2018-2019 school year opened today, 4/30/18. All MME students should have received a personal ActiveCode with online registration instructions last week. You must have the ActiveCode to register your student. You must also set up a new ActiveParent account with your email address as the username. The district will use this email address to relay important information to you throughout the upcoming school year. It is important that this email address is accurate and checked frequently. On June 1st, you will be able to use this ActiveParent account to register your other students in the district.

All other schools will have Online Registration available on June 1st. All students who will be attending another BSD school next year will be receiving an ActiveCode along with report cards.

Student Safety

To the Parents of Alexander Jr. High School,

On Thursday, April 26th, rumors of the school being placed on lockdown because of a threat began to spread on social media. An investigation was done by school administration and no evidence was found to substantiate the previously stated rumor. Thus, no security measure such as going into lockdown was initiated during school on yesterday. The Brookhaven School District remains diligent in monitoring each school and their safety measures to make sure that the educational process of our students is safe and uninterrupted. We will continue to strive for excellence in providing a high-quality and safe educational experience for all students.

Ray Carlock, Superintendent

Roderick Henderson, Deputy Superintendent
