Brookhaven Early Learning Collaborative

The Early Learning Collaborative Act of 2013 established Mississippi's first state-funded, voluntary Pre-K program on a phased-in basis. The purpose of the act is to provide funding to local communities and to establish, expand, support, and facilitate the successful implementation of quality early childhood education.

The Brookhaven School District has formed a partnership with Five County County Child Development Inc. to impact the reading success of children in our community. This partnership will focus on increasing student reading proficiency rates and overall kindergarten readiness.

Collaborative partners understand that literacy is the leading indicator of individual success and community prosperity. Our partnership is committed to ensuring that our children begin kindergarten prepared for school and ready to learn!
