Coach Peavey

Panther Podcast

Welcome back to another episode of Panther Podcast! Episode 15 features host Dr. Henderson chatting with the Brookhaven School District Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Tucker Peavey. Peavey and Henderson were both on the coaching staff that led Brookhaven High School to their first football championship win in 2004. Since then, the football program has continued to be a successful program in addition to many other sports in the district. As the Athletic Director, Peavey’s job is to make sure all sports are being run smoothly and efficiently. He is extremely proud of the coaching staff who make his job much easier by handling their own responsibilities. He and Henderson both are proud to be a part of a district where sports, in addition to academics, are shaping the lives of their students to not only graduate but obtain life lessons that can be implemented throughout their entire lives. We would also like to again congratulate the Ole Brook Tennis Team for winning two state championships with members Allie Grace McNeil and Annie Stewart (5A Girls Doubles) & Caroline Kilpatrick and Cohen Leggett (5A Mixed Doubles), and the Brookhaven High School Boys and Girls Track and Field teams are also 5A MHSAA State Champions!

About Us

The Brookhaven School District, where we are “Equipping Students Today for Tomorrow’s Opportunities”, strives year after year to complete a child’s education with the highest of standards. An education that begins with excellent facilities throughout its seven-school system. Many renovations at all of the schools have taken place over the years, including a $13 million renovation and expansion project at Brookhaven High School in 2001. The high school, originally built in 1938, is recognized by the Mississippi Department of Archives as true to its Art Deco design and houses one of the most advanced sound and lighting systems of any high school auditorium in Mississippi.
